On the morning of June 2, the "Guardian Home 2022" earthquake relief and flood control and disaster reduction comprehensive emergency drill officially kicked off in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan province. The exercise simulated earthquake relief operations following a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, with the Coresat team participating as one of the emergency communications support teams.

The exercise was sponsored by the People's Government of Ganzi Prefecture, organized by the Earthquake Relief Headquarters of Ganzi Prefecture, the Flood Control and drought Relief Headquarters of Ganzi Prefecture, and the People's Government of Luding County, and co-organized by Ganzi Prefecture Emergency Management Bureau, Ganzi Prefecture Fire Rescue Detachment and Ganzi Prefecture Forest Fire Detachment. Including the lead training field and sub-training field, the total number of integrated, professional, industrial and enterprise emergency rescue teams involved in fire rescue, forest fire protection, militia, armed police, public security, traffic and other comprehensive, professional and enterprise emergency rescue teams is 3,146 people.
At 10 am, the emergency drill officially began. A 7.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Jinguang Village, Detuo Town, Luding County, affecting 10 counties (cities) around it, causing the collapse of large areas of houses, trapping a large number of people, dozens of deaths, and thousands of injuries. Roads, power and communications have been disrupted in the earthquake zone, some important infrastructure has been damaged, and secondary disasters such as landslides and barrier lakes have occurred.
The earthquake triggered a state-level earthquake emergency response, and the state earthquake relief headquarters formed and dispatched the front headquarters at the first time to organize and command earthquake relief operations. Counties (cities) comprehensive emergency response, public security, transportation, communications, electricity, health, fire rescue and other rescue and rescue forces quickly dispatched to the scene.

Among them, as one of the emergency rescue teams, Starlink Xintong carried three sets of satellite portable stations, fusion communication terminals and related equipment to quickly reach the core area of the disaster to carry out disaster collection. After establishing a satellite communication link at the first time, the state command center obtained real-time communication with the front command, and quickly obtained important information such as pictures and videos of the scene of the disaster area.
Through the integrated communication system of Starlink Core, the command center connects to multiple emergency rescue sites at the same time, and integrates multi-channel communication/sensing equipment such as control ball, UAV, walkie-talkie, and satellite phone, providing a multi-dimensional communication and command scheme for rescue work.
